  1. What a beautiful house! They did a great job of converting it to a residence. I would love to have that room in the front with all the windows. At least until it came time to clean them! πŸ™‚

  2. My family owned the mill and lived in it from about 1970 to 1975. Grandfather owned about 600 Acres North of there including multiple homes and barns.

I’m sorry to say the family most all of it when he passed.

    • Wow! Thank you for commenting. It’s a beautiful old building. There are a lot of wonderful old homes and barns in the area and I always enjoy going out for a drive when staying at my aunt’s. My grandparents owned a farm in Nooksack, but it passed out of the family when they retired, so I know how that is.

    • Hi Casey,
My family lived in the 4 bedroom house just across the street from the old brick mill from 1963–1970. Your grandfather Charlie, and his wife Helen were almost daily visitors to our house! Charlie helped us (city slicker replants from California) with countless practical things. My mom made fresh cinnamon rolls and loaves of bread , ready to serve whenever your parents came by. My mom would say, β€œCharlie says . . . β€œ every day at the dinner table. My dad was a professor at Central State U and eventually we returned to California. That period of our family history is wonderful to me. I would love to have a snapshot of Charlie and Helen from that period. He was treasured by my family.
