The theme for the WPC this week is partners: “subjects that are in tune with one another.”
One of the fun things about my visits to my aunt’s place just outside of Ellensburg is driving the surrounding country roads and looking at animals not seen in backyards here in Seattle. This pair of beef cattle seemed perfectly content together on an early August morning.

Yes they do. Sometimes when neighboring herds are nearby I can hear the cows lowing at night. It’s a comforting sound. Maybe because my grandparents were dairy farmers when I was still very young.
