This is one of the first photos I took with my new camera. I bought it at Kenmore Camera, which is very near Log Boom Park. I had to wait out an intense hail storm before leaving the store, and then was able to catch the dramatic clouds at the park before the initial small charge in the battery gave out.

A couple weeks ago I was amused to see that the light for the D was out in this sign, making one of the famous Seattle burger stands sound slightly less appetizing.

Part 2: Auto Mode & Program Mode

In this post I’m going to discuss Shutter Priority Mode, usually designated by an S on your camera mode dial if it has one. (Tv, or time value, on Canon cameras.)
It’s called Shutter Priority Mode because you are making the shutter speed your priority in how you expose the image. In Shutter Priority Mode you control the shutter speed and allow the camera to automatically choose the correct aperture to go with it.
