The fish look like many I have seen on Japanese roofs. They are supposed to bring luck by preventing fire. LikeLike Reply
Thanks for the info! I thought it was interesting that Asian style fish were used, especially given the prevalent West Coast antipathy towards Japanese and Chinese people during that time period. LikeLike Reply
