Music in Seattle Parks

Music programs can be found in many greater Seattle area parks in summer. Two that I recently became aware of are for classical music lovers of all ages.

Chamber Music in the Park will be held at the bandstand in Volunteer Park on Wednesday, July 27th at 7 pm. This free outdoor concert is part of the Seattle Chamber Music Society’s Summer Festival and is a very popular event.

Family oriented activities begin at around 5:30 pm. You can click on the above link for full details.

Music Under the Stars is a whole series of free musical events held throughout the month of July as part of the festival. Each evening starts with a live performance by a talented student ensemble. Then the evening continues with a KING FM live audio broadcast direct from Benaroya Hall.

Music Under the Stars is held at four Seattle Parks. Click on the link for details.

Outdoor Movies 2016

The outdoor movie season is about to begin again in the greater Seattle area. Many of the venues are at parks, and most movies are free or only $5.

Since the Seattle DogSpot blog already collected the info and links for this year, I’m just going to refer you to their post instead of duplicating everything. You can click on the individual venue links to get all details.

The only venue they are missing from the list I posted last year is for West Seattle. Maybe they don’t allow dogs. You can find that venue info here.
