Instead of posting the next part in my Photography for Beginners series today I’m presenting Omar Gonzalez’s photography game as a change of pace. You can treat this as a game purely for fun or as a personal challenge.
It should be enjoyable for photographers of any skill level. But it’s also educational for novice photographers or those who have never used a 35mm film SLR camera before.

This coming weekend will be a busy one as we head into Seafair with some great events taking place all over the city, including some popular cultural festivals. Below I’ve highlighted three events taking place at city parks.
Over the last few months I’ve been watching a lot of photography videos on YouTube. I’ve learned quite a bit in general and picked up some useful tips, but a lot of my enjoyment comes from the video footage some landscape photographers shoot of beautiful locations, including from drones.
I’m never going to be the kind of photographer who travels long distances just to get a specific shot, or who hikes up a mountain, down a steep cliff, or miles through a forest to get to a great location. But I can do that vicariously through others and enjoy the fruits of their labors.
