Abstract
The theme for the WPC this week is abstract, and it is perfect timing because I have been playing around with making abstract images with water and rocks recently. I haven’t quite nailed it yet, but this photo is close.
Happiness is Twilight
My favorite time of day has always been evening twilight. Photographers call it the blue hour. I call it the watery time, when the sky becomes like a darkening pond overhead. It takes on a quality and color that makes me want to cry from the beauty of it and that I can almost drink in and taste.

Perfect Day
I took this photo at Mukilteo Lighthouse Park on Thanksgiving 2015. It was perfect timing on a perfect day. The ferry was arriving at the dock with Mt. Baker in the background.
After enjoying the park for about an hour I had dinner at Arnie’s with several family members. After dinner we spent some time visiting at my cousin’s condo she’d recently purchased in Mukilteo. Then I drove home at twilight, with the sky and mountains so breathtakingly beautiful during the blue hour.
