I took this photo at Mukilteo Lighthouse Park on Thanksgiving 2015. It was perfect timing on a perfect day. The ferry was arriving at the dock with Mt. Baker in the background.
After enjoying the park for about an hour I had dinner at Arnie’s with several family members. After dinner we spent some time visiting at my cousin’s condo she’d recently purchased in Mukilteo. Then I drove home at twilight, with the sky and mountains so breathtakingly beautiful during the blue hour.

This is such a lovely photo! Perfect for the blue and white theme.

What a beautiful sky! Both times I was in Seattle the surrounding mountains were hidden from view, as my post earlier in the week clearly (or not, as the case may be) demonstrates.

Looks like you were up in the Space Needle on a beautiful day though! And actually, the photo you said was to the north and Vancouver was actually to the west and the Olympic Mountains. So you at least got to see some, even if Rainier was hiding. (Rainier creates her own weather a lot of the time, so not unusual.)

It is a wonderful place! My aunt will be visiting my cousin there in May and we’re hoping for good weather so we can picnic at the beach. If the weather doesn’t cooperate I suppose we’ll have to suffer through dinner with a view at Ivar’s or Arnies. Such a shame. 😉
